    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • After Andrew discovers he has superpowers, the room magically becomes dark between him testing his invulnerability and giving his superhero monolouge.

      • Andrew, when the needle breaks on his skin, says that it happened in the first issue of Superman, yet it didn't happen there, it in fact happened in the first movie of Superman.

      • The "bullet" that drops to the floor after it hits Andrew would NOT form a perfect circle, and even if it did, it's too thick to form a standard size bullet.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Dr. J: Andrew, are you mowing the lawn or waiting for a chest X-ray?

      • Andrew: Eh, what's up Doc?

      • (After Andrew sees a pretty girl across the street)
Man: Hey kid! How much you want to mow my lawn?
        Andrew: More than anything!

      • Theme Song:
This is better than my imagination.
This is more than a dream come true.
Without the slightest bit of hesitation, I knew what I was meant to do...
You'll never guess my secret identity.
Who is on the inside, hiding out?
You never know what you'll see, when you unlock a mystery.
Sometimes this double life gets out of hand.
But it's all in a days work... for Ultraman.

      • Andrew: In brightest day, or darkest night - no evil shall escape my might as POWERMAN! Well, there already was a Powerman... Ultraman? 'Hey look, there goes Ultraman!' Yeah! Tomorrow, the world shall know me as... ULTRAMAN!

    • NOTES (1)

      • The plane the mobster was flying in was landing at Pearson International Airport, which is in fact a real airport just outside of Toronto, where the show was filmed.

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • Andrew: In brightest day, or darkest night... no evil shall escape my might.

Andrew's monologue is almost identical to that of Green Lantern, a famous DC comic hero.

      • Andrew: Just like in the first issue of Superman!

Andrew refers to one of the oldest and greatest superheroes in comic book history. Superman started as a character in Action Comics back in 1938 and has spun into thousands of comics, almost a dozen television shows and 5 movies.

      • Andrew: Eh, what's up Doc?

Andrew quotes the famous line said by the carrot-chomping Bugs Bunny, from the 50s cartoon series The Looney Tunes
