      • Jerry Ziesmer wanted to act after stints in plays at his local high school in Milwaukee where he grew up. He then pursued an acting career in Hollywood, while getting a master's degree at UCLA. In 1967, he was accepted into the Assistant Director training program from the Directors Guild and the Motion Picture Producers Association, and graduated in 1969. Since 1970 he has worked on many major motion pictures as a First Assistant Director.

      • When Bub returns home from his first evening class he puts a key in the front door and turns the handle, but the following shot shows him merely opening and walking through that door.

      • Bub attends the adult evening classes at Bryant High School during the spring semester. He is taught by Mr. Hemphill in Room 203, which is Robbie's daytime classroom.

      • See the notes of Episode # 19 for some bizarre information relating to actor Robert Cleaves.

      • Harriet MacGibbon (1905-87) had a long and distinguished stage career in New York before entering the movies and television. She studied a variety of crafts including voice, piano and harp. Unlike her stage roles, her roles on the big and little screens usually consisted of snooty, society ladies, including that of her best-known role, Mrs. Drysdale in the long-running hit "The Beverly Hillbillies", and she is credited as "Harriett" with two t's in this episode.

      • The music for this episode was scored by Ramez Idriss and Gene Garf.
