      • A lot of the Black and White episodes have a "Teleplay" and "Story by" credit. For purposes of efficiency they are not broken down here at TV Tome but officially listed as "Written by" (unless further notated by me). The Writers Guild of America has specifically designed rules for all projects under its jurisdiction including television programs. The "story by" credit is used when the basic narrative structure was originally written with intent to be used (as opposed to a short story) and the actual teleplay had different authors. A shared "story by" credit is the minimum awarded to the author of an original teleplay. Finally, the "Teleplay by" credit is used to denote the teleplay authorship if the story credit had to be separated as above, which is Teleplay by Tewksbury, Leighton and Tibbles; Story by Leighton and Tibbles.

      • Writer George Tibbles makes his second script contribution and then doesn't work on the series until the following season. For reasons explained elsewhere, he will become a very important part of the show's staff in the coming years, penning more episodes of the series than any other writer.
