      • A very subtle story thread is started in this episode that will be used many times in the coming years. Charley says that he played Cello in his vaudeville days. He will continue to play this musical instrument as the story permits over the course of the show's remaining years. Like Fred MacMurray who played the saxophone, I believe William Demarest actually did play the cello in real life too and it was also one of his favourite pastimes.
