      • The theme and structure of this episode will be very closely mirrored in next season's episode, Ernie the Jinx. Here, just as in that future episode, we have Ernie providing a great deal of nuisance for the other men folk. He is clearly the comic foil to the others.

      • Actress Julie Parrish (seen here in her third guest appearance on the series) died of ovarian cancer on October 1, 2003 - three weeks shy of what would have been her 63rd birthday.

      • This episode would contain the last teleplay written by regular contributor John McGreevey, who penned 35 episodes of the series (including 3 as a co-writer).
As most television viewers will know he was also an Emmy Award winning writer of "The Waltons". McGreevey passed away on 24 November, 2010 aged 88.

      • Actor Bobbie Diamond earned a law degree in 1970 and he has practiced Civil and Criminal Law as an Attorney in the state of California since 1971.
