      • At the beginning of the episode when Steve Douglas enters the bus depot, you will note that as he sits down to read his newspaper, the poster on the wall directly above him titled "For the Holidays" is in the font of the show's title design. Interestingly, sharp-eyed viewers of classic television will also note that this font was also used on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1961-66)

      • Curiously, David Macklin who plays the young Steve in this episode, made his first film appearance as an uncredited Messenger boy in the Fred MacMurray film, "The Apartment" (1960)!

      • Despite what is written elsewhere on other websites, this episode is not alternately titled "Smitten by Nostalgia".

      • Veteran character actress Meg Wyllie (1917-2002) appears as Aunt Martha.

      • Best known for her role as Gavin MacLeod's wife on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (1970-77), Joyce Bulifant was married to Director William Asher (who was 23 years her senior) who Directed "I Love Lucy" and "Bewitched" (starring his previous wife, the late Elizabeth Montgomery). They have a son named John who is married to actress Jenny McCarthy.
