      • Jeanette Nolan was a show business veteran, appearing in countless films and as many as 300 television programs. She was married to the late actor John McIntire and died in 1998 aged 86, following a stroke. Nolan has the rather curious uncredited distinction of having provided a series of screams for "mother" in the Alfred Hitchcock shock-horror film "Psycho" (1960) in which, coincidentally, her husband played the Sheriff. Having appeared on the series three times before, this episode was her last guest appearance.

      • Gail's grandmother in this episode insists on calling Chip by his real given name, "Richard".
