      • The subplot in this episode involves Uncle Charley and his girlfriend. He insists he'd never be jealous of her seeing anyone else, but by the end of the narrative, Steve can see that Charley is indeed jealous when she is unable to go on a picnic lunch he had planned due to a date with someone else.

      • A library set is used briefly for one scene in this episode. We will see the library again in 'Ernie, the Jinx.'

      • Many times during this season Tina Cole as Katie is seen wearing sweaters and capri pants (ala Mary Tyler Moore on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"). She was once quoted as saying that she hated the wardrobe that Katie was given for the show and wanted her to be dressed more like a typical young woman of that era, but the Producers were steadfast in their beliefs and refused to budge.

      • Actress Shirley Mitchell (wife of the late Academy Award winning lyricist Jay Livingston) makes her first appearance as Uncle Charley's girlfriend.

      • The original CBS Synopsis sheet for this episode clearly states that an actor named Mark Sturges was credited as having played the Craig Benson role that is played by Charles Robinson.
