      • It is indicated in this episode that Steve's birthday is the 12th. In Episode 307, Steve tells his date that his birthday is at the end of August. Not coincidentally series star Fred MacMurray celebrated his birthday every August 30th.

      • Ralph Hart had previously co-starred on the Desilu series "The Lucy Show" starring Lucille Ball. He played Vivian Vance's teenage son, Sherman Bagley from 1962-65. Both he and the other supporting cast of the series were dropped when the series changed formats for the 1965-66 season and remained that way until it ended it's run in 1968 on CBS. The series was then reworked and became "Here's Lucy" from the 1968-69 Season and ran a further six years. It is essentially the same program with the same production personnel including Co-star Gale Gordon. The only difference from a background point of view is that once Lucy had sold Desilu to Paramount's parent company, Gulf and Western Industries, she also lost the format of her series and in order for her to continue in her own show she then had it revamped under her own Lucille Ball Productions banner and became her own producer and distributor. Not only was she renowned as the world's greatest female clown, but a highly competent production executive.

      • During the cake-fight sequence, it is quite evident when Barry Livingston is hit square in the face with a luscious cream cake that his glasses have no real lenses in them.

      • Tamara Assayev had an earlier career as a child model in fashion and early television. She began producing films under the guidance of Roger Corman and eventually became a fully fledged producer in her own right. In addition to her film work, Ms. Asseyev is a founding member of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
