    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Katie is said to be away visiting her mother. However, in the prior episode, she was also said to be visiting back east when Robbie was in Japan. At the end of the last episode, she was back home in time to see Charley and Ernie's appearance on TV. So either she has gone to see her mother again for the second week in a row (two long and expensive flights in two weeks seems unlikely) or else we can assume that this episode occurs right after Steve returned from Amsterdam and Chip came home from Mexico...but that Robbie was still in Okinawa and Katie was still with her mother.

      • It might've made more sense to title this episode 'Honorable Guests,' (plural) since the entire Wong family from Bryant Park and their relatives from Chinatown appear at the Douglas home.

      • Subtitles are featured in this episode...during the scene when Mr. Wong talks to his uncle in Chinatown. The text is in English (while the actors are speaking Chinese), until the last subtitle, which is in Chinese (with the uncle speaking in English!).

    • NOTES (3)

      • Although credited, Don Grady and Tina Cole do not appear.

      • This was Beulah Quo's fifth and final appearance on the show. Born in Stockton, California in 1923, she continued to act until recently and died aged 79 in La Mesa, California on October 23, 2002. Her last role was a guest starring appearance on a "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" episode that aired in April, 2002. But she was also a founder of East West Players — later serving on the Pioneer Arts Organization's board for eight years and spearheading its successful $1.7 million capital campaign that resulted in construction of a new 240-seat theater in downtown Los Angeles. She held degrees from UC Berkeley and the University of Chicago, and was also a sociology instructor at colleges in the Los Angeles area and mainland China.

      • Philip Ahn is best known as Master Khan on the David Carradine series, "Kung Fu" (1972-75). The original CBS synopsis sheet for this episode says (erroneously) that Beluah Quo's character name was Gloria. She is listed in the end credits this way too.
