      • As he had done with Robbie and Katie two seasons earlier the show's resident musical force Frank DeVol, has composed a beautiful Love Theme for Steve and Barbara, which debuts as a tune played by the waiter at the Italian restaurant and will be fully developed over the course of the next handful of episodes. A further "family" theme for Robbie and Katie is introduced and would be used in the next few seasons as well.

      • Trivia: The head of Personnel for Steve's company is the tough Margaret Corb; however the female registrar interviewing Robbie as a prospective employee has the name-plate "Mary Watson" on her desk, and of course the bit player involved remains uncredited.

      • Ann Marshall's role is simply given on the end credits as "Robbie's secretary"

      • Inconsistency with recurring character names means that in some episodes, Steve's secretary as played by Betty Lynn, is sometimes called "Janet" and sometimes "Janice"!

      • Interestingly, Eleanor Audley (1905-91) played the recurring role of Mother Eunice Douglas on the "Green Acres" series (1965-70) with Eddie Albert & Eva Gabor. Ironically, even though she played Dodie's grandmother on the show, actress Dawn Lyn says that as she was so young at the time herself, she has no memories of her at all.

      • John Gallaudet, who has a long history of supporting roles on the series, makes his debut in the recurring role of Steve's boss, Bob Anderson, who he will play for the final three seasons.

      • Dawn Lyn, the younger sister of teen idol of the 1970s Leif Garrett, makes her debut here as Dorothy (Dodie) Harper, daughter to school teacher Barbara Harper. It was no stretch of acting credibility for Beverly Garland to play mother to a five year old; her own daughter, Carrington Crank, was also the same age when these episodes were filmed in 1969. And to this day Dawn says that "Beverly is an outgoing, fun-loving person; she is a second mom to me".
