      • It is really amazing researching the production (or "as filmed") order compared to the actual airdate order. It might interest you to know that this episode (Production # 6272-0043) was actually the last one filmed during this first television season!

      • The clever little mysterious verse that Steve uses to defy the power of the mirror (read vertically) goes:

My Oath, my vow, my motto to, I aim twixt myth to outwit you!

      • Without being positive, and knowing now that series star Don Grady is a Los Angeles-based composer, it isn't hard to imagine that he may have composed the jazzy little composition that he performs on the piano for Chip and Sudsy in this episode.

      • Ricky Allen makes his debut on the show here, and would continue to play the role 35 more times during the period 1961-63. Olive Dunbar also debuts here as his mother and would play the role nine more times during the same period.
Ricky Allen's correct on-screen credit has his full character's name, Huey 'Sudsy' Pfieffer, but I have elected not to list him this way as he's very rarely called 'Huey'. Subsequently, for this season only the end credits spell the character's surname as Pfieffer instead of Pfeiffer as it is later more commonly listed.
