  • Notes

    • The subplot in this offering features Uncle Charley chaperoning Ernie and a buddy at the Douglas home.

    • A roadhouse named the Purple Tiger is mentioned but not shown.

    • This is one of the first episodes of the show dealing with Robbie's status as an adult figure, a scenario he seems to take to heart. Many fans have rightly speculated that Robbie becomes more bossy in these episodes after he marries Katie. It's a character trait that is utilised in upcoming seasons as well whenever he interacts with his brothers.

    • Does the trees and scrub area sort of look a little familiar? Could be. I believe that some of the outdoor location scenes were made near the Lagoon used for "Gilligan's Island", which also filmed at the CBS Studio Center. Similarly the log cabin looks as though it's straight out of "Bonanza", although this is a studio mock-up and filmed indoors.

    • Another obvious look inside the front door of the Douglas house proves yet again that the real life location and the studio mock-up are totally different. The standout feature is the lack of staircase to the second level when looking from outside and into the open front door.
