      • A minor subplot of this episode has Uncle Charley sending Katie out to get hamburgers for dinner. Intsead she returns to two dozen assorted doughnuts; both Chip and Ernie overindulge and feel seick the next morning.

      • There is yet another obscure reference to the Douglas family heirs when Steve mentions to the General that "The first two births went well, but there was a problem with Chip." A subconscious memory of oldest brother Mike who is referred to but never seen again. At least Story Supervisor George Tibbles plants these liberally sprinkled, yet recognisable tidbits, in the scripts via his writing staff to remain faithful to older viewers' memories.

      • Most of you may not know that Guest star Yvonne Lime (1938-) would marry the show's Executive Producer Don Fedderson in March of 1969. They stayed married until his death in 1994. In 1959 Yvonne co-founded the International Orphans which is now known as Child Help USA. She has received more than 40 honors and awards for her services to abused children. Since 1994 she has been President and CEO of Don Fedderson Productions and her responsibilities include managing the rights of television programs made by her late husband. Now living in Paradise Valley in Arizona, Yvonne has served on the company's board of directors for well over 30 years.

      • Judi Sherven is credited as "Judith" Sherven in this episode.

      • By some strange coincidence, the family finishes its spring cleaning at the beginning of the episode. This scene was obviously an extension of the filmed beginning of Episode #279 which was to be used in separate episodes. Astute viewers will notice that the characters are wearing the same clothing in both segments.
