      • Chip's wild dream sequence about going to jail for 50 years gives both Stanley Livingston and Ricky Allen a chance to wear aged makeup and prosthetic beards.

      • It seems odd that Bub is angry that grandson Chip thinks he is 64. In reality, William Frawley was almost 75 years old when this particular episode was lensed.

      • As an interesting sidelight, actor Stanley Livingston as Chip, actually did draw and paint in real life, but basically just to pass the time. "I was pretty much raised on a sound stage," said Stan. "That's when I first became interested in art. I had to pass the time in ways that didn't make a lot of noise, so I started drawing pictures. Later, in my late teens and early twenties, I began doing watercolors, oils, pastels, charcoals and pen-and-ink. Mostly I did still lifes and portraits." This fascination lead to his present day hobby of creating stained glass artworks, a passion that sometimes must take second place to his entertainment career.
