    • Despite the on-screen credit, the original script for this episode says that it was written by Arthur B. Friedman. A writer who has taught at college level, Friedman was also the founding curator of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/UCLA Television Archives, which later became the UCLA Film Archives.

    • The Milkman's truck has the painted sign "Nugent's Dairy" on the side, and this is a nod to the show's Property Master Carl Nugent.

    • The outdoor neighborhood scenes were filmed on the backlot of Desilu-Culver Studios, which housed the residential street seen here and utilised on shows like "The Andy Griffith Show".

    • Guest star Bill Idelson always had a dual show business career; as a character actor and as a writer for such TV series as varied as "Bewitched", "The Dick Van Dyke Show", "Get Smart" and "Happy Days" among the many shows that he has worked on.

    • Veteran character actors Nolan Leary as Mr. Carl Jenson and Florence Link as Mrs. Sarah Jenson, both appear uncredited in this particular episode; "why?" is anyone's guess.
