      • The music for this episode was scored by Jeff Alexander.

      • Former child actor Jay North was known the world over in the title role of the classic series "Dennis the Menace" (1959-63).

      • The tone in "My Three Sons" was always kept strictly light (read: comfortably 'square'). Furthermore, references to such 1960s strife as political assassinations, the Vietnam war movement, and increased drug use among American youth were totally avoided. When the imperfect reality of the outside world was allowed to intrude on the Douglas family, it was generally as a slight acknowledgment of changing social and cultural trends, demonstrated by such innocuous events as this, when Chip decides to wear a Beatles' haircut at the urging of his friends.
