Now that the kids are almost out of their hair, Jay insists that Michael have a vasectomy so they can feel free to enjoy themselves, but Michael is reluctant to go through with the operation.

    What happens next the episode left more questions than answers

  • I'm very disappointed with the way they ended it all. It isn't fair to all the loyal viewers to just end it and leave things hanging, there was no Closure.

    This show has and will always be loved by so many people of all races and cultural backgrounds. I would challenge anyone to watch an episode without laughing, and with the state the world is in right now, we need more laughter...It is very frustrating when you find a great, lighthearted, entertaining show that is suitable for the whole family, then have the powers that be pull it off the air. There is a lot of rubbish on TV that seems to stay around forever, but they shut down the quality shows like My Wife and Kids, it seems without even thinking about the loyal viewers. I'll have to buy the DVD's so I can continue to get my fix....moreless

    i love this show it shouldn't have ended like it did, it would have gotten a ten rating but the one thing i didn't like was the clifhanger when there was no intent of bringing the show back, they should have allowed another season to finish it off properly, a proper send off although i rather it not finish it was so funny. i know i will be buying the series on DVD. now i'm interested in what happenes to michael and jay and the rest of the family with a new baby coming along. well now we'll never know. every dissapointedmoreless

    My Wife and Kids is the funniest show since the Cosby Show. My friends and I have laughed and pretty much memorized each show. Because truthfully, I\'ve seen the entire five episodes over 5 times since it\'s been off of the air and I can\'t get enough of it. I watch this show and I get a feeling of what family is about. It’s about ALL OF THIS! We need more shows like this one? I’m African American and I think it shows what is truly the meaning behind black entertainment is. We need more of that. Don\'t you think?moreless

  • over-all this episode was alright i think there was still room for improvement but its still a great show. unfortunately the show got cancelled but i still watch the re-runs

    okay, so the last EVER episode of my wife and kids and they end it like this.the edning was truely amazing!

    as usual the season ended with a cliffhanger. this episode was one of the only 'normal' episodes for season 5. dont get me wrong, i LOVE my wife and kids but certain things the characters get into are sometimes unrealistic.micheal didnt know wheather to laugh or cry when Jay uttered:' you dont have to do that'(shes talking to micheal because he says he'll go throught with the vesectomy)Micheal says 'why's that?' and then the bombshell;because im pregnant' Jay says.ohhh! its a shame the show was cancelled because if it wasnt we would be able to see a serious side to micheal and Jay.aw well theres still re-runs!moreless

    • It was revealed by ABC, if they did pick the series up for another year, Jay would not have been pregnant because the results would have been wrong. However Michael, Jay, and Kady would have moved near to Jay's parents, leaving Claire and Jr. behind.

    • After five seasons, My Wife and Kids got cancelled because, according to ABC TV executives, the show had been "played out". The cancellation was not confirmed until the day before this episode premiered. As a result, the series never got a proper send-off and instead ended with a nasty cliffhanger.

    • Suprisingly, in the US, this episode ran for a total of 40 minuites on it's original broadcast, however, in Australia and the UK the full length version was shown in under 25 minutes.

    • Tisha Campbell-Martin makes her directorial debut.
