The premise of the show was to explore a public scandal of one celebrity in each episode using interviews and news footage. The shows also covered the celebrity's handling of the scandal. Two episodes of My Worst Week were made; the first episode airing on July 16, 2002 and the second episode airing on July 23, 2002. The first episode focused on George Michael, a pop superstar in 1996. Michael was arrested for engaging in a lewd act with an undercover police officer on April 7, 1998. Michael pled "no contest," paid a fine and performed community service. Michael made a music video spoofing the incident and was subsequently sued for $10 million by the arresting officer. The case was eventually dismissed, but the incident caused Michael to "out" himself as a homosexual.
