      • Miranda: You know how we couldn't figure out what Mike was doing out there in the forest that day? Declan: Mm hmm. Miranda: He owns that piece of land. Declan: Really. Miranda: I found an old email from his lawyer. Turns out Mike was gonna sell the land to a developer and he was going to put a strip mall there. Declan: A strip mall. Huh. What if...what if the animals out there found out about that plan? Miranda: Sorry? Declan: Yeah. What if they found out he was planning to turn their home into a strip mall? And they got together, and decided to whack him. Miranda: You're saying that the animals overheard Mike talking about selling the land, understood what he was saying, communicated with each other, and then came up with a plan to whack him? (Declan grins mischeviously) Miranda: It's a good theory.

      • Declan: What if they found out he was planning to turn their home into a strip mall? And they got together, and decided to whack him. The music playing in the background of the episode during this quote is The Lion Sleeps Tonight. This song was used in the 1994 movie The Lion King, in which the storyline was that a young lion was forced to leave his kingdom by his evil uncle, but later returned to the kingdom to overthrow his uncle and regain the kingdom for the animals. This is similar to Declan's theory of the animals trying to keep control of the forest by killing Mike.
