I have had this problem since I was 12. I am now 58. This is the first time that I have seen anything about hidradenitis on TV. Like the man in the show, I felt his pain, frustration, and despair. To this day there is still no cure or treatment for this nightmare. It was such a huge relief just knowing that it had a name. I'm finally on pain meds. It doesn't make it better but at least I'm not a shut in and have many days without severe pain. I have a semi charmed kinda life now. .. But then. . Everything is relative...moreless
