During the hoedown when Crow starts shouting, you can see Trace's elbow behind the bale of hay that Crow's on.
Crow: (observing the opening picture of a skull reaching down) You keep that hand out of the cookie jar, young man!
Crow: It would be ironic if the Tree of Death ever got Dutch elm disease. Tom: Yeah, Stump of Death wouldn't be the same.
Mike: (describing Pete) Long before Peter Billingsley was this guy.
Crow: (describing Sandra) She has more face than she needs.
Dean: I can't go on forever pretending to be a useless drunk. Mike: Fun for a while, but my liver keeps shutting down.
Crow: (as the title of the short appears) I thought I smelled somethin'!
Mike: On his resume', Robert Reed listed this as The Tempest.
Tom: (as the movie's title appears) The story of Wisconsin sausage!
(as the kids climb the rope in the short) Tom: Tonight, on ESPN2, hayloft rope swinging! Mike: You better watch, 'cause it might happen.
Pete: (after Jeannie kisses him) Lemme at 'em! Tom: Damn the torpedoes... please.
Crow: (as Pete and Betty sneak down the hall) Indiana Nerd and the Temple of Dork!
Crow: (as the kids bring the boat ashore) Tonight, 'Love and the Landing at Normandy.'
Mike: (as the captain drinks) Yes, it's the booze barge.
Tom: (seeing pigs at a trough) The lunch counter at Tom and Rosie's diner.
Crow: (seeing pigs in a line) A very special Ziffle family reunion.

Monty Python's Flying Circus: As the henchman busts through the door and one of the 'bots shouts "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!", they are referencing a famous gag on the comedy show Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Tom and Rosie: Tom said, "The lunch counter at Tom and Rosie's diner." Roseanne and Tom Arnold opened a diner which was famous for "loose meat" sandwiches.
Arnold Ziffle: Crow said, "A very special Ziffle family reunion." Arnold Ziffle was a pig on Green Acres.
Symbolism: Tom said, "Oh, why this symbolism? Did Christ hunt people on deserted islands?" This riffs the habit of many writers and critics to make allegories of Christ out of movie characters (i.e. Cool Hand Luke, after eating 50 eggs). The riff comes after the evil madman is attacked by his abused henchman and his hands are impaled by spikes as his body droops (a la the Crucifixion of Christ). This is particularly funny when considering how in efforts to analyze the "hidden meaning" of film critics, viewers, and college english professors often go to bizarre lengths to attribute references and allegories that just don't exist.
