  • An example of the movie sabotaging the episode....yes it was that bad (the movie)

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
Despite the riffing, this one was a bust. The movie was so cheap and awful, it really was hard to stick with this one all the way through.

The futuristic staging in the movie is distracting in it's awfulness. I think we see with this movie that some films do such a poor job of engaging the viewer that they are hard to properly riff and rip. It is this kind of movie, which lacks 1) plot cadence, 2) semblance of character development OR EVEN 3) cinematic attempt at drama, that can be disarming to the kind of riffing we tune-in for. Not the fault of our SOL team in any way....moreless
  • The Bots and Joel watch "City Limits" a terrible, cheesy movie from the 80's starring James Earl Jones and Kim Cattrall

    8.0
    "Great"
"City Limits" is one of these low budget Tv like movies starring a lot of big name stars.

Dr. Forrester describes as the "low point of James Earl Jones career". The plot is about a couple of teenage riders in the future fighting against each other after the Apocalypse. They then unite against an evil corporation. The movie itself is loaded with cheesy acting, bad visuals and a couple of funny fights. Oh yeah James Earl Jones narrates over half the film but he is so unintelligible it's hilarious. It sounds like he is either mumbling or drunk the whole time.

The Bots have a couple of memorable jokes including "this is cheesy rider", and "There must be a way out of this film", "Chips fifteen years from now" and "there trying to pass off this film as being written".

This movie despite how bad it is really to watch. It never gets boring because there is always a gag or too done by the bots that makes the movie fun.moreless
