I like both equally, but Joel was more in control of the 'bots and Mike was more controlled by them.

I think in the Comedy Central days, Mike was still finding his footing, but he really came into his own once the show moved to the Sci-Fi Channel. As a whole, I think the riffs are better with Mike. Joel, however, had the invention and exchange and a better dynamic with the Mads.

Personally, I enjoy both Mike and Joel, but I prefer Mike a little more only because he's continuing on with RiffTrax and the Film Crew.

It's hard to choose. They both have their good and bad qualities and the show was great with both of them.

My vote goes to Joel (sorry Mike!). He paved the way for the show.

I prefer Mike. I just think he's funnier and a better actor. Better singer, too.

Joel's whole sleepy-eyed, laid-back routine got kind of boring and annoying after a while. And while Joel's awesome in the episodes he's good in, when he's off he's just awful.

I prefer Mike, although Joel was pretty awesome, Mike seemed to have funnier lines, was more at ease on camera and just all around more entertaining and enthusiastic!

Joel was better. He wasa bit more laid back, putting the emphasis on the robots, the way it should be.

I like both if you ask me. It seems my family has mixed feelings about this question, however; My mother answers that Joel was way funnier than Mike and my uncle admits while Joel was funny, "Mike had some good bits" as well.

Joel did pave the way but he wasn't quite meant for tv - sorry - he was just too much of a monotone (still love em tho!)

    I'm goin with Mike.

Chose Joel the laid back and always hilarious with his invention exchanged or Mike the sweet but hapless, and funny temp?

i never saw the big thing about Joel, he was okay, but Mike was a simpleton (or played one) that made him more likable to me. i did like Joel though, but i had to chose one, and i chose Mike

I'd say during movie time I prefered Joel, he had a more sarcastic outlook and didn't hold back.....but Mike was a better host of the show I think, so I guess both....but each for different reasons.

I liked Joel better because he was more like the bot's dad. Mike was more like their equal. Do like Mike though.

I think I answered a long time ago in another thread but not this one but would go with Joel. I like them both but like Joel more. He had that kid like personality and the jokes seemed a bit more natural where as Mike seemed to force the punchlines and thus I didn't laugh at his jokes at much. Another thing as well, Mike was a bit annoying at times almost congratulating himself too much laughing at a really crummy joke. The invention exchange was awesome with Joel and the chats with Dr. Forrester. The sketches with the Bots was still great with both guys.

I felt both were good for their own reasons. Joel was a great creator of the show. Mike was the funnier of the two and presented his comedy in a well rounded acting style.
