Marooned is the only movie skewered by the Brains to win an Oscar, for visual effects in 1969. MSTies know it as Space Travelers, because it was the Film Ventures version that was shown. To their credit, they had a shot of the globe spinning over the credits, so that the problem of showing scenes that weren't even in the movie was solved. The movie plot was about three astronauts stranded in space and the efforts to rescue them. The crew had lots to do, including a skit which was done only because of Crow's killer Gregory Peck impression, but his efforts to 'spice it up' just dragged it down. Also, they gave a list of items that were brought about by the space race, and, in perhaps an unintentional moment of foreshadowing, discussed what would happen if they ran out of oxygen like the astronauts in the movie. Joel wants to sacrifice himself for the 'bots, but they point out they don't need oxygen, which is not what he wants to hear.moreless
