Oh, boy...what a great episode. I'm not sure what my favorite part of this movie is. Maybe it's the half-baked cop drama starring Lt. Anderson ("That's me!"), the bizarre juxtaposition of the kids learning of a murder and then dancing the night away at the malt shop (it's like "The Saved by the Bell Murders") or Mikey, the sniveling, androgynous, squealing little brother of the prime suspect, whose "It's Pat" looks steal the show in any scene in which he/she/it appears.

"Teenage Strangler" is a hodgepodge of crap, part mystery, part teen drama with a musical number, and as a result it fails at everything - so it's perfect MST3K fodder. The host segments are great, with the "instant Mikey" glasses, and Mike's "I'm a Janitor" song closing out the show. The quips are also terrific, even in this outing from early in Mike's tenure on the show. He came into his own voice quickly, creating a distinct personality apart from Joel's. A fantastic episode all the way around. Plus, there's a short!moreless

A funny movie whose tagline reads "Budding Young Teeny-Boppers Were the Bluebeard's Prey! See Dismemberment and Death!"

Well they got the death part right but there is no dismemberment shown. Teenage Strangler is a fun movie about a serial killer strangling teenagers. I say fun because like most of the movies on MS3TK if features stupid characters, predictable twists, and lots of laughs.

For example, when the cops find the first body of a victim in the street, a large crowd gathers around. Instead of dispersing the crowd, the cops proceed to talk aloud about the case so everyone can hear!!!!

The list of suspects range from a shy teen, to the school buy, to a weird janitor. FOr what it's worth though a couple of the other death scenes are setup well. During one scene, the shy character of the movie, leads a girl home.

Crow makes a joke saying "she won't be strangled tonight", then a few seconds later, she is strangled. The strangling usually occurs behind the scenes. The movie despite a lot of problems is very watchable and gave me plenty of laughs. THe bots and Mike provide jokes about what the teens might be thinking and a lot of is relevant to mental illness. "Teenage Strangler" is a whopping great time.

There's a short before the flick called "is this love". It ain't that bad as well. It's a short where one girl falls for another guy. THe parents disapprove of the relationship, so when they decide to forbid the girl to see the guy, she elopes with it. In a way, now it comes of as more of a lesson for parents who don't listen.

    All in a memorable episode.moreless
