An injured war hero and his sister move to the sleepy little village of Lymston hoping for a quiet place for him to recover. Soon they receive a viscious poison pen letter, and discover other residents are receiving them as well. The vicar's wife asks Miss Marple to Lymston for a visit to get to the bottom of things.
