Adam introduces the Leyden Jar in this episode. The Leyden Jar was invented in Leyden, Netherlands around 1750. By wrapping an insulator on both sides with conductors, it was capable of holding charges.
(Adam with Silicone breasts at 8000 feet) Adam: My breasts are getting bigger, repeat, my breasts are getting bigger.
Narrator: With the shocking garments in hand, they're off to the auto yard to find a suitable car seat. (Adam points out an old van) Adam: Do you think we could build some panty friction in the bed here? Jamie: Well that's what it's for, isn't it? Adam: Well we won't be the first.
(Adam comments on the results so far of the panty static generator) Adam: At this point it's just like a sea of rubbing and vinyl and wet car seats. It's like high school.
Adam: (To Jamie after a CD shatters) Oh, man, it's like a horror show. Look at this, it's like embedded two inches in his flesh. That's bad
Adam: (After a microwaved CD shatters) That just goes to show that you should not microwave your CD and then put it in the drive.
(After an experiment has burst into flames with Adam nearby) Adam: (feels his face) Am I missing... an eyebrow?
(Explaining to Adam how he's convinced that his router can handle the stress of spinning a CD at over 30,000 rpm) Jamie: It says heavy duty on it.
Adam: Don't you want to touch 'em!
Adam: (lieing on the floor) Ohhh..... Must test CD-rom
Jamie: Jamie want big boom!
