Apparently they were recording another canon ball related myth, only to have the ball fly 700 yards OFF COURSE, crashed through a car window and into a HOUSE.. it will be quite interesting to see what happened in that episode, when, if at all they decide to air that one next year...

The cantaloupe-sized cannonball missed the water, tore through a cinder-block wall, skipped off a hillside and flew some 700 yards east, right into the Tassajara Creek neighborhood, where children were returning home from school at 4:15 p.m., authorities said.

There, the 6-inch projectile bounced in front of a home on quiet Cassata Place, ripped through the front door, raced up the stairs and blasted through a bedroom, where a man, woman and child slept through it all - only awakening because of plaster dust.

    The ball wasn't done bouncing.

It exited the house, leaving a perfectly round hole in the stucco, crossed six-lane Tassajara Road, took out several tiles from the roof of a home on Bellevue Circle and finally slammed into the Gill family's beige Toyota Sienna minivan in a driveway on Springvale Drive.

Note: Due to the police investigation of this, no MythBusters team member is allowed to talk about this or post about it anywhere...

I would certainly watch it, 3 times even, laugh my pants off, give respects to the families that suffered this, thank to God that nobody got hurt, and all of this should come with a super sized BIIIG WARNING . DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME !!!
Mythbusters is the only "reality" show of Discovery that i look forward in seeing every time

I think it is classy of the show not to attempt to capitalize on such an unfortunate mistake, even though the clip could have potential entertainment value. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

the reason it wont air is b/c it was not related to the myth, it was only a calibration test to see how far the cannon can shoot normally.. what happened had no relation to the myth so they have no reason to air it..,,,

Perhaps next time they'll know to conduct these kinds of test at a more remote location.

sounds like a load of bs to get ratings...

from what i gather all the locations for explosives are seemingly remote, unless it happened at m5.....

I was at tonights final show of the mythbusters tour and one of the questions they got asked by the QA was about this episode.. and to confirm whats already been posted:

THE EPISODE WILL AIR .. The Clip of the Accident WILL NOT.. They are Not Allowed to air it.

(speaking of mistakes, they had a big big screw up to end tonights show i was at.. The Final Act of their Final Show Didnt quite go as Planned:

well, there you go.. the infamous clip of the cannon ball failure finally aired tonight, and as edited, you did not see where the cannon ball went, and cut away to their disclaimer...
