Can quicksand really pull you under? Is it really possible to kill someone by dropping an electrical appliance into a bathtub? Can an MRI explode a tattoo that has traces of metal within it?
  • If you ever find yourself in a bathtub with a hairdryer, while in quicksand, and while getting tattooed while undergoing an MRI scan then you really should watch this episode of MythBusters!moreless

Something that we all dread is an electrical apliance falling into a bathtub. Well now we should be even more worried about it! The MythBusters made sure of that!

Something I've always wondered about is quicksand which made this episode interesting for me. It was very amusing seeing Adam & Jamie getting sucked into the quicksand - rather them than me!

Finally something that I didn't actually know even was a myth. The idea of a tattoo exploding while undergoing an MRI scan seems so ridiculous to me that I'm surprised that it was ever even a myth! But I did enjoy seeing a hunk of pork getting tattooed - then again, who wouldn't???moreless
  • These guys are no scientists!

Some revealing moments in this episode, firstly these guys are no scientists and Jamie really needs to loosen up!

I used to watch this show for purely entertainment value, but have recently been looking at it from a more critical point of view and noticed that in many cases they try and recreate a situation which may or may not approximate reality. In this case, why didn't they use a real bathroom instead of a set, yes small criticism but they also got the estimated currant needed to electricute someone drastically wrong and needed a qualified electrician to re-rig there set up!

In the 'behind the scenes' episode that aired before this on in Australia, they got onto the topic of Jamie's attitude, in this epidode you could really see his negative side, his comments about Christine and his blow up with Adam were quite revealling.moreless
