    In this episode they try to cure seasickness.In this they build a chair which is used to make people sick if they get sea sick .Only adam and grant get it so they only put them in the chair and get them blindfolded and they tell them to move there head back forward right or left. When the chair is moving so it really makes them sick and they get sick. So they try different cures and none of them work accebt for the pill. So now when they ever have to go on a boat they just take the pill and go.moreless

    This episode of MythBusters had three very interesting myths that the myth busters had to test. The use of cartoon technology to see if fingers could stop a shotgun was really interesting, even though it might not be the most useful thing ever tested. The rifle did balloon a little bit, which was interesting, but by far this was busted. Another interesting test was with the trucks and whether a pick-up truck runs better with the tail gate closed (up) or open (down). A road test simulation along with a wind tunnel like test showing the path of the air actually led to the interesting outcome of the truck running better with the tail gate up, because of a bubble vortex formed.     It amazes me time and time again to watch Adam hurt himself. Usually he trips and falls down, but this time Adam and Grant goes on the seasickness machine 8 times to test different objects thats are supposed to cure seasickeness.

    It seems that the rest of the mythbuster team almost enjoys putting Adam through this kind of pain...

    The MythBusters are back to the original format where they test a trio of myths and just two or even one myth, which has been seen of late over the two past seasons. This week they take on three very different myths and two of them were myths that were constantly posted at Discovery's Channel Fan Site Message Board. So I think that they did this to force people to stop posting these myths at that board.
    The first myth that they take on are the various homeopathic therapies that are claimed to cure Seasickness Since they are homeopathic cures they won't have any nasty side effects to the person who are taking the cure, like feeling sleepy, like what happen when a person would take the strong over the cover medication. Something that Adam wants to fine out really bad, since he is afflicted by the condition whenever he takes a boat trip, and something that was seen in last year Shark week Special episode.
    Some of the various therapies that they tested did seam to be a little questionable that they would be able to cure this condition. The one that surprise be was the fact that ginger, a herb that has been around for centuries and has been used by Chinese to treat this very similar condition. Once again I amazed by the Ancient Chinese that they were ahead of their time in many things and yet again an old Chinese wise tale is proven correct. With also confirmed what I told with drinking Ginger Ale, that it can settle an upset stomach. While I did like seeing them test these various treatments, so that whenever I get Seasickness I know what to take and what not to take to cure it. I didn't like seeing Adam going through that ordeal, it one thing to see him get hurt in a quick shot, because of his reactions that he dose, there is another thing making a person go through a long drawn out ordeal like he went through. What I did like in this myth was Adam prediction that Jamie wouldn't get sick from the chair and a half-hour later Adam was correct about that, he wasn't affected by the chair.
    The second myth that was token on by these guys was driving your truck with the tailgate down gives you better gas mileage rather then driving with up. Yet another one that those gas mileage myths that are out there and just what happen with AC vs. windows down myth episode, the one that they thought wouldn't kick out, kick out first. I thought that this was an okay myth, not one that was all to fantastic.
    The last myth, and the best myth out of the trio of myths that were in this episode is one that comes from cartoons, which is that a person can save oneself if they put their finger in the barrel of a shotgun. This was cause the gun to backfire and injured the shooter, while leaving the victim alone. I love this myth in this episode because of the cartoon short that aired in the being of the myth that both Adam and Jamie as cartoon characters, with Jamie as a hunter, and Adam as a rodent-like animal that was eating Jamie's corn. I can image the entire team seeing this segment for the first time and roaring in laughter at the sight of it. Like what had happen to me when I first saw, it laughed so hard at the segment that I had tears in my eyes.
    Oh yeah, let's not forget about the testing of this myth and how they tried so hard to get the shotgun to peel back in the shape of banana peel, and the only way that they got a result that was even remotely close to what is seen in the cartoons was gel finger that was made out of a more tough material that they used in the first test.moreless

    This episode of MythBusters was the first that I had a hard time watching. As when there is someone vomiting I don't want to see it or hear it. But I managed to hold on and make it though the episode.

    Seasickness not a problem I have but I am glad to know what will work and what won't. I thought the testing was good, what these guys and gals will do for science.

    The truck I was kinda surprised at the result. How would a thought?

    Finger in the gun well lets face it, I think they just wanted to shoot a gun. Who really thought that the results would be anywhere close to the 'banana peel' seen on cartoons?

    Overall a great episode and once again this show does anything but disappoint. This viewer keeps tuning in every week just to see what they will blow up next.
