Soda and Movie Myths
Adam and Jamie talk trash and crash when they test whether a Styrofoam cup full of soda can be a lethal projectile when thrown from a car at high speeds. Does the cup penetrate the windshield of an oncoming car and seriously injure the driver? Jamie and Adam build a number of soda shooting cannons to see how deadly this myth really is, including a never-before-seen shoulder mounted cannon courtesy of Jamie. On a higher note, Grant, Tory and Jessi Combs (in her final episode with the team) test the classic silver screen cliché of the death defying hang. Are any of these actually viable? Using a helicopter and their wits, the team finds out if these hang times can happen.moreless

  • Entertaining and interesting...

This was a pretty interesting episode, for a change. It dealt with three myths. Adam and Jamie tested whether or not a styrofoam cup thrown out of a car at highway speed was lethal. Grant, Tori, and Jessi (who I will be sad to see leave) delved into Hollywood myths, hanging off a ledge and then climbing into a helicopter to escape bad guys.

Jamie and Adam had fun as usual with their story. In a surprising result, the styrofoam cup filled with slushy actually penetrated a windshield. It was worth a few laughs. Of course, they had to prove their mantra, "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing", with the "Little Pop Gun".

In the other myths, the ledge thing was highlighted by Tori getting injured, again. Maybe I'm a little odd, but that's always funny, though it was quite painful to watch. And the helicopter was surprisingly easy. As I said above, Jessi's departure from the show brings me much sadness.

All in all, I wasn't blown away by this episode, but it was entertaining throughout, unlike some of the more recent episodes.moreless
