The Mythbuster team actually busted the myth of stopping a car by putting it in reverse already in a previous episode. This happened in season 3, episode 3 where they were testing whether a broken drive shaft on the front joint of a car vault can cause a car to pole vault after it hits a pothole. During the trial runs for this myth Jamie accidently put the test car in reverse and saw that nothing happened.
The "Eye-Popping Sneeze" myth was requested by over 10,000 people, making it the most-requested myth in the show's history.
Jamie: We should take some safety percautions. Adam: Yeah, I don't want to get glass all over my back.
Adam: How far do you want us to be on this one? Frank: A long way away. (Adam laughs) A looong way away.
Jamie: The next thing we're going to do is put real explosives in the car, and this car is going to go away.
Chris Cannello requested that the Mythbusters blow-up his parent's car. The Mythbusters asked if it was ok with his parents.
The reason Grant couldn't stop the automatic car in reverse, was because of a safety feature built in the car.
During this episode, Adam had another one of his "What the hell are we doing?" moments.
This is the first ever, viewer special episode.
Sgt. Alan Normandy, the MythBusters' regular gun safety expert, appears to have received a promotion. He is now referred to as Master Sergeant.
