Adam and Jamie try some western myths. Shooting a hat and pulling out some steel bars while the Build team see if anyone could die from a pick and an airbag.
  • Great episode, predictable but fun

I loved this episode. I pretty much knew the outcome of most of the myths they tested before they did them, but it was entertaining just the same. as for HogggWild999, I've been reading your posts on this site, you haven't had a positive thing to say about any of these episodes, if you hate this show so much I suggest you cease watching it. I personally enjoy the show. I don't always agree on the methods used to bust the myths, but I do believe that the majority of there conclusions are valid, and they have been quite good at retesting myths that they have gotten wrong in the past.moreless
  • If these guys are going to bust myths, at least they should do it right. This episode has two myths that are not done correctly at all.

Sometimes I get real dissapointed in Mythbusters. Most of the time they do their homework and get it right to the best of their ability, but on occasion, they really screw things up. The first thing they messed up was the jailbreak. Was it not obvious to these guys that you cannot brace up a wall with steel I beams and expect it to fail???? They should have done what they did later in the episode and build a three wall self standing building. Then tie a rope to the rods and pull. Even in the movie scenes they show the whole wall being pulled apart, not just the bars being pulled out. Thats what the myth was. So this one was messed up and needs to be done over again.

Second is the shoot the hat off the other guys head. This is another one they messed up big time. If you look at the old time film clips, you can see the guys hats are barely on their heads. In one shot the hat starts to come off before the shot is even taken. So what does Jamie do, they get the hat and jam it down onto the fake head. WRONG!!! A cowboy hat sits ON the head its not forced down onto the head. Its no wonder nothing would move the thing without being anything short of a shotgun. Again, they messed this one up and need to do it over again.moreless

I want to learn to pick a lockthat's cooland a scary myth. But for as freaky and deadly as it sounds, turns out that there is nothing to be worried about. To pick a door lock you go down the window into the door from the outside. The airbag is inside the door inside the car, no where close to the locking mechanism. Turns out that kicking the door won't do it either. To see the brains that Kari made, the mythbusters have to put the lock picker in an air gun. I also liked the western movie myths of breaking out of jail using horse power and explosives. The best though was the knocking the hat off with a bullet.moreless
  • Adam and Jamie visit some wild wild west myths, and some exlosives.

This episode was great. It was pretty cool to see Adam and Jamie try the ol' explosive break-out, but as usual, it comes with a cost. Ol' Buster did not survive the blast, and that was the real reason why someone would try to get someone out. I mean, like Jamie said, it would have tooken him 10 minutes with a pickaxe to get Buster out. I really did hope that that myth would successed, but alast, it ended in failure, how sad... Another myth I was hoping would be true was the Picklock of Death myth. I really wanted to see a knife go right into someone's head (Ballstic gel's head atleast) but it did not work. One myth I knew would never work was the shot hat off myth. The bullet needed force to push it off, which it did not have. Thats Mythbusters 0, Myths 3. The Myths won this time.moreless
