For that, I'm guessing the uncut sets will fare a lot better than the on-air version.

What am I saying? The uncut version is always better.

I personally still find the anime to be very enjoyable.

Finished boxset 4 a while ago and my score for Rescue Gaara and Sasuke and Sai is personally 9 and 8 out of 10 respectively.
Hmm... I'd like to to qualify that a bit. First, let's put out of our mind if Shippuden gets better later on. That's irrelevant. (it also helps to understand if you're using the 7-9 scale or the 1-10) Also, put Shippuden in a vacuum and consider how it holds up to anime as a whole. Does it entertain you out of an 8? How many shows do you hold up to this level? Does your enjoyment of the show stem from the source material, or by itself. The point is that if I put a neutral anime enjoyer in front of Shippuden, I would guess that the show would rate in the 4-6 range. (I've done this.) The show is well acted - but it falls apart in design.

NOW, that's not to say you don't have a right to enjoy it! I'm just curious! And if you can elucidate an opinion that is striking and fresh, I might be able to better enjoy it myself. Sometimes that happens, when someone just can't get their head around somethin', they just need a little help.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but fair enough.

I'm using the 1-10 scale BTW.

Well, as a whole, I'd say Shippuden is a nine [close to ten] in my book.

As for my enjoyment, it stems from the show itself. I somewhat prefer the anime over the manga.

While there were some tedious bits (such as 4 tailed Naruto vs. Orochimaru), I find most of the action and story to be pretty solid.

But that's just my perspective, though.

What about that very slow pacing of shippuden? Doesn't that bother you?

    Not at all.

DBZ was far worse with that and even that is still one of my favorite anime to date.

    Really?

I did not read a lot of dbz manga to compare but whatever you say bro.

Still I think in shippuden at one time it was almost unbearable. I wished they would make like 85 more episodes of fillers instead of having that kind of slow pace.

Not me. I thought it was fine.

I can count the moments that I thought were truly tedious on half a hand in all honesty.

I've only found 2 and a half moments to be truly tedious is what I mean.

I'm pretty patient, and I'm exposing people with no knowledge of the manga to the anime. It's hitting around (average) but in part I think they're sticking with it simply because they've seen so much of it.

Animated Naruto is not that bad at the moment. I enjoyed Pain Saga pretty much like everything else. And course we are counting out current fillers which will soon end.

I thought it was decent watching them week by week.

Watching them in a row on DVD was even better. I just think 'normal' is more accurate than 'slow' for the most part.

But that's just my view and I admittedly don't expect a certain amount of content to be covered per episode/chapter in a story.

I've been holding back, but I finally went out and picked up the fifth volume. You know...cause its filler. But I can't stand the silly edits (Oh my gosh, Sasuke's lightning sword in Yamato! I caught that the other day! Hilarious)

I have to say, I've gone in seven episodes and I'm impressed. Really, really impressed. I only have little nitpicks here and there, but barely anything at all. I mean...somehow...they took all the generic stuff...and made it interesting. I swear that labyrinths and a kid that fights with Naruto has all been done before, but the pacing and the dubbing are all quite refreshing. Maybe having a couple of new characters, and a team of people who are all equal and not useless (maybe sakura) helps. I'm sure I've got to be disappointed sometime, but even the animation is pretty good. And the fights are clever? Jesus.

That you people find the time and the energy to be tortured by stuff like that still amazes me from time to time.

tortured by...edits? Naw. I just figure that I prefer the undiluted dub for my first go around. I do find edits merely...inventive. I might even say that some of the 4kids edits were...funny and clever - even if they dismantled the original material. But Naruto squatting, taking a whole bunch of shuriken in the back...(Whereas on disney he...gets hit by...um...air.) IT's just funny. I mean...what's wrong with naruto? Did he drink bad milk again? He looks a bit fatigued

I'd like to know why the hell The Suite Life on Deck keeps on playing instead of Naruto.... I get all excited to see Naruto being recorded on my DVR and then this retarded show airs instead of it.>
