Naruto: You're crazy, Sasuke! Wake up before it's too late!
(Sasuke kicks Naruto down to the ground)
Sasuke: I have woken up, don't you see? That guy who dreamed of a happy future full of peace and friendship, he was the one who was asleep. That's why I left the village. That's why I've gone in search of power. It's not the future I dream of any more, only the past. That's where my dream lies.
Naruto: (Thinking) Incredible! He's changed, he never was this strong before.
Sasuke: Now I'm going to where Orochimaru is.
Naruto: Are you out of your mind?! Orochimaru killed the Third Hokage and did everything he could to destroy the Leaf Village! Whatever it is you're expecting from him, you think he's going to give it to you for free? All he wants is to use your body like a new suit of clothes! There'll be nothing of you left! You'll never get out of there alive! You think I'll just stand by and let you throw away your entire life?
Sasuke: None of that matters now. The only thing that matters to me is achieving my goal.
(Naruto jumps across the gorge and lands on Sasuke)
Naruto: Not so fast! You're going to tell me your comrades risked their lives for nothing?!
Sasuke: My days of playing ninja with you kids of the Leaf Village are done.
Sasuke: Like I already told Sakura, it's over. Just leave me alone.
Sasuke: So it's you, hopeless little knucklehead.
Naruto: Choji... Neji... Kiba... Shikamaru... Bushy-Brow... They all... They all risked their lives! And why? To save you!
Sasuke: Well, wasn't that nice of them?
Sasuke: I don't need a future with any of you.
Sasuke: My dreams are not of the future. My dreams are of the past.
Naruto: Chouji... Neji... Kiba and Akamaru... Shikamaru... Fuzzy-brows... They all risked their lives to come after you!
Sasuke: Well, good for them.
