Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!

Aired Thursday 7:30 PM Sep 10, 2005 on TV Tokyo

  • Trivia

    • When Naruto uses his Orioke no Jutsu (Sexy Jutsu), in the Japanese version, Iruka is shown having a nosebleed and then yelling at Naruto with tissues up his nose to stop the bleeding. However, in the edited version of the English dub, when the blood was edited out, the tissues were still there when he yelled, "CUT THE STUPID TRICKS!"

    • During the confrontation scene with Naruto, Iruka and Mizuki, watch the shoulder of Iruka's vest. First, it's pinned to the wall behind him after Mizuki first attacks. When Iruka first yells at Mizuki not to tell Naruto the truth about his past, his vest is free from being pinned, yet when he yells at Mizuki the third time to stop, his vest is again pinned to the wall and Iruka rips the shoulder of his vest out from the kunai that pinned it there.

    • When Mizuki and Iruka were talking in the forest Iruka's vest had a cut on the shoulder, but when Iruka said "How's that?" the cut was gone.

    • When Naruto does the Kagebunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu) and all the clones are shown, the scroll that Naruto stole is missing. But, it reappears once more after Naruto has beaten up Mizuki.

    • Iruka set a log down next to him (The one disguised as the Book of Seals), but when Mizuki was about to throw the giant shuriken, it's not there anymore. It reapears in every other shot though.

    • While Iruka is thinking about what the Hokage said about Naruto, he's in bed without his green vest. When Mizuki pounds on the door, Iruka sits up and he's wearing the vest. But, when he opens his front door, he's not wearing it again.

    • When Sasuke goes up to perfrom his transformation jutsu, there is only one student next to Naruto. In the next shot Naruto is in between two students.

  • Quotes

    • Hokage: A long time ago, a demon fox with nine tails existed. When one tail was swung, it would destroy a mountain and cause a tsunami. To counter it, the people gathered shinobi.
First Ninja: Hold it here until the Fourth arrives!
Second Ninja: Don't let it get any closer to the village.
Hokage: One shinobi sealed the monster in a life or death battle and died. That shinobi was known as the Fourth Hokage.

      ~Japanese version

    • Iruka: Naruto?
Naruto: What do you want now, sensei?
Iruka: Well, I was just thinking. Maybe after you've cleaned this all up, I could take you out for some ramen. You know (Pause) the good stuff. What do you think?
Naruto: Huh! Now that's some serious motivation. I'll have this cleaned up in no time.

    • (Naruto is running away from 2 ninja and laughing)
Ninja on the right chasing Naruto: Naruto come back here! When I get my hands on you!
Ninja on the left chasing Naruto: You've crossed the line this time Naruto!
Naruto: Give it up. You're just bent because you don't have the guts to do what I did. Do yeh, losers, wanna-bes? You'll never catch me!
      (At the Hokage's place)
Ninja 1: Lord Hokage! It's an emergency.
Hokage: I hope you're not bothering me with some trivia. And don't tell me it's Naruto again.
Ninja 2: It is Naruto again. He climbed onto the great stone faces.
Ninja 1: He put graffiti all over the Hokage.

    • Hinata: (Thinking to herself) Naruto, do your best!

    • Mizuki: You know what really happened during the incident with the demon fox 12 years ago, don't you? Since then, the villagers have been bound by a strict rule.
Naruto: I don't remember any rule?
Mizuki: You wouldn't, as everyone in the village was meant to know it except you.
Naruto: Why only me? What was the rule?
      Iruka: Don't say it!!!
Mizuki: The rule is nobody is allowed to tell you that what you really the demon fox!

      ~Japanese version

    • (The episode begins and shows a Nine-Tailed Fox terrorizing the land)
Hokage: Twelve years ago, a Nine-Tailed Fox suddenly appeared. It's tails lashed out, smashing mountains and sending tidal waves crashing to the shores. The ninja rose up to defend their villages.
Attacking Ninja: Hold the attack and wait for the Fourth Hokage.
Wounded Ninja: It is getting closer, don't let it get near the village.
(The Fourth Hokage's giant toad joins the fight with the Fourth on its head)
Hokage: One shinobi faced the Nine-Tailed Fox in mortal combat. He sacrificed his life to capture the beast and seal it in a human body. This ninja was known as the Fourth Hokage.

    • Mizuki: Don't you get it? Naruto is just like me.
      Iruka: How's that?
Mizuki: He wants the scroll for his own power and his own vengeance. That's how beasts are. He'll pour all his rage into the scroll and destroy everything!
      Iruka: You're right...
Naruto: So it's true. Iruka-sensei never believed in me. He think's I'm some beast...some kind of... freak!
Iruka: That is how beast are, but that's not who Naruto is. He's nothing like that. Naruto's one of a kind, works hard, puts his whole heart into it. Sure, he messes up sometimes and everyone jumps on him, but his suffering only makes him stronger. That's what separates him from a beast. So you're wrong, he's nothing like the Nine-Tailed Fox. He's Naruto Uzumaki of the Village Hidden in the Leaves!

    • Shikamaru: This is a complete waste of time, Naruto.
Ino: We always end up paying for your screw ups.
      Naruto: Like I care.

    • (Naruto evades the two Ninja chasing him)
Naruto: Ha ha ha ha! That was too easy!
      Iruka: OH YEAH, NARUTO?!

    • (Naruto transforms into a naked woman)
Naruto: Gotcha! That's my Sexy Jutsu!

    • Mizuki: Such big words. I can completely destroy you in a single move!
Naruto: Take your best shot, fool! I'll send it back to you a thousandfold!

    • Iruka: Congratulations! You graduate!

    • Mizuki: Talk all you want! I'll finish a kid like you in a flash!
Naruto: Try it, trash. I'll return the pain a thousand times over.

      ~Japanese version

    • Iruka: You're right...
Naruto: So it's true, Iruka-sensei never cared about me...
Iruka: ...The fox would do that. But not Naruto, not him. For him I have the highest respect, he's a great student! So he screws up, and everyone shuns him for it. But it's only made him stronger, he knows what human pain is. So you're wrong, he's not the demon fox. He's Uzumaki Naruto, of Konoha village.

      ~Japanese Version

    • Hokage: Mizuki has a big mouth.

    • Iruka: Naruto wants to be the Hokage, and I'm beginning to believe he just might do it...

    • Mizuki: Not bad for a little punk.

    • Mizuki: The decree is that no one can tell you that the nine-tailed fox is inside you!

    • Naruto: If you ever lay a hand on my sensei...I'LL KILL YOU!!!

    • Naruto is also a type of Japanese steamed fishcake, which features swirls on them in the same shape as the swirl on the back of his outfit. These fishcakes are often used in ramen dishes, also Naruto's favorite food.

    • Did you know that the name of Uzumaki Naruto comes from a city in the Tokushima Prefecture of Japan named Naruto? The city of Naruto was founded on March 15th, 1947 and has a population of 64,257 and a density of 474.40 per km². Naruto is most famous for the Naruto Whirlpools (Uzumaki, hence Uzumaki Naruto), a famous tourist attraction. Naruto also is home to the Ryozenji and Gokurakuji temples, the first two temples of the 88 temples on the Shikoku Pilgrimage that are believed to have been visited by the famous Buddhist monk Kukai, who was born in Zentsuji of the Shikoku Prefecture in 774. The pilgrimage is 745 miles long (1200 kilometers) and traditionally walked, which can take up to 60 days to do completely. Those who do complete the entire pilgrimage are known as o-henro-san and are often recognizable by their white clothing, sedge hats, and walking sticks. Also in Naruto is the Ohnaruto Bridge, a suspension bridge on the route that connects Kobe with Naruto. Completed in 1985 the bridge crosses the Naruto Strait (location of the Naruto Whirlpools) and has a span of 876 meters (2,874 feet), good for being named the 25th largest bridge in the world.

    • Monument: The Hokage faces
These rock faces Naruto paints and cleans have a similarity to Mount Rushmore because the Hokage's were the leaders of the village, and on Mount Rushmore the faces of U.S.A. presidents are seen.

    • The Nine-Tailed Demon Fox is based on a demon fox in Japanese mythology called Kyubi.
