  • Sasuke is getting a little too emo.

    8.0
The previous episode concentrated on the relationship between Sasuke and Itachi, this episode switched over its reigns to the dad and Sasuke. It was more of the same stuff as last episode except a bit more of Sasuke pouting. The drama is going at a really good pace right now, but Sasuke is just turning from a pity child into an annoying one. I like how things are going right now though, Sasuke is determined to reach his brother's level and he does it without anyone watching him even learning the Katon: Goukakyu no Jutsu and progressing well with the shuriken training.
  • sad sasuke looser

In this flashback episode we see just how hard Sasuke is willing to work to win his father's approval and admiration. He is so determined to prove that he is and will be just as good as his older brother Itachi. He trains day and night to perfect the Fireball Jutsu. He finally does and hears the words he thought were only reserved for Itachi. "As expected of my child." He also learns from his mother that when she and his father are alone, Sasuke is the only one he talks about. It was an informative episode, but it was also kinda sad. :( It was still a good episode. (Like most Naruto episodes are.)
  • More of Sasuke's past revealed.

Sasuke tosses Naruto his pouch as Naruto crawls out of the crater that Sasuke had knocked him into. Sasuke has a flashback to when he was younger and his brother, Itachi, was still at home. It seems that since the confrontation with the police and his father, Itachi has been acting strangely. Their father and Itachi have not spoken since the incident. Sasuke tries to gain his father's approval of his progress in school. His father takes him out to the lake to teach him the Katon-Goukakyuu no Jutsu or the village fire juutsu. Sasuke does it the first time, but it is just a small fireball. His father walks away and says that he is not like Itachi. Sasuke practices time and time again until he gets it right.
  • When Sasuke is fighting Naruto, he has flashbacks in his childhood once more.

While Sasuke had finally gained his father's respect, Itachi and his father were not getting along too well. After Itachi's little incident with the members, he and his father isnt so close as they used to be..so Sasuke is likely encouraged by this and he tries his Fireball Jutsu out and he trains and trains just to prove his father wrong that he can do it just like Itachi. When sasuke finally gets it, he then shows his dad, which isnt really excited to see but does it anyway just to make sure his son is happy and when he sees what sasuke does, he walks back a little and then congrats him on doing his jutsu and he was proud of him. So Sasuke is really happy until on that faitful day. What i thought about this was really sad but revealing more and more each time. You know, its like finding out about his past and you're wondering about Sasuke's past and also about Itachi too. Loved it.
  • More of Sasuke's childhood is revealed

As Sasuke fight Naruto, he looks back on his childhood. It was rather sad and pathetic if you ask me. No child should have to suffer through all of that. Anyway, Sasuke remembers the few days before the massacre, and trying to win his father's approval. Itachi and Fukagu (who has a funky looking chin, by the way) had gotten into an arguement and were no longer speaking. Meanwhile, Sasuke had learned the fire ball jutsu. He brought his father to the dock to watch, and afterwards, Fukagu said, "That's my boy." Sasuke was happy at first, but then he was afraid he only said that because Itachi was dead to him. When he told all of this to his mom, Mikoto told him that when she and Fukagu were alone, all he talked about was Sasuke.
  • Aww... Poor Sasuke. :(
