Even so, it didn't matter who won. Shikamaru forfeited and he was still the only one promoted because the observers were impressed. When Naruto beat Neji, he didn't really do anything very special. All he did was punch him.

it's like this naruto is a genin and for ever will be as i can tell,strongest in naruto are the akatsuki menber pain he kills jiraja in manga very soon and in anime.now nedj is also a jonin,naruto is weak as ever,i mean withot help of ninetails fox,witch he doesn't use anymore bay the way, sasuke is very powerfull and naruto is no match for him,no mater how much he trains he doesn't get realy stronger,but i must say he does have more jutsu,sa far for orochimaru he is strong as ever,naruto could't beet him in his kyubi form but i must say it was a good fight
