I'm been wondering who Naruto's father was I believe the 4th Hokage is. They have the same hair color and style (well a bit) also why did the 4th Hokage sealed the Nine-Tail Fox inside of Naruto? Why him? Also my friend did a web search for Naruto pictures of the 4th Hokage and some of the pictures said the 4th Hokage's name and his last name was Uzumaki like Naruto's. Is that coincidence or what? Anyone else have any thought about this?

There are many rumors that the 4th Hokage is Naruto Father. Itachi said that Naruto was the 4th Hokage's greatest legacy.

We had two arguments on it. One said that Naruto was the fourth because when he tried to seal the fox into HIMSELF he reduced in age and size and lost his memory. I didn't believe this because (and I'm quoting from the last thread)

OK, but who's Naruto's mother? I'm curious about that too. I think it may be Anko, but I don't think so even if they have almost similar personalities. 0_0;

Basically, Naruto is an orphan, and there are no records of him having any relatives at all.

I think there will be something for Naruto's past like Kakashi's Gaiden explained most of his past.

Naruto could be like Anakin from Star Wars and have only one parent, but the other way around. The Yondaime gets up to go to the bathroom one day and PLOP! out comes Naruto. I could see that happening

Who knows? Way more than neccessary.
Personally, I think he is the 4th's son. As for being the 4th himself, in the manga, the 4th's coffin never appeared.
So who knows?

i think that naruto is the son of the fourth cause there is this website that i found and one of the pictures has everyone as a teen and child.

the adress is anime-gallery.net go to naruto pictures and open other or groups i dont rember what page that pictures are on but when you see that picture you will see how much naruto and the fourth look alike at the same

A lot of characters in the Naruto world look the same and yet probably have no real blood relations. Sakura looks like Tsunade and the Fourth's female student (forgot her name). Naruto resembles Jiraiya and Obito, and the Fourth a bit. Sasuke resembles a young Orochimaru and a young Kakashi a bit. Obito resembles that bandaged guy at the start of the Naruto 2 Arc. Sandaime Sarutobi resembles Sarutobi sensei that trains Ino, and Chouji (although they may actually have distant blood relations).

Its been said that Kishimoto purposely did this to fuel speculation and interest in character relations. It works, obviously.
