    Okay, here's how this thread works. Feel free to ask any reasonable questions about the series that don't violate any rules here. Example: Don't ask where download episodes or chapters, nor should you ask a stupid question like "Is Sasuke gay?". I'm going to try out one thread and see how it works out. If it gets out of hand...well, we'll see. Also, if somebody else has answered a question, and there answer is correct, don't reanswer it or say something like, "Yes, that's correct".

    Remember, this is not a discussion thread, it's an immediate Q & A thread!

    Here's a tough one.......... What do kabuto's blood shot eyes do? His glasses are broken back in the chunin exams and his eyes turn bloodshot red. But ever since then it hasnt happened again as far as I know. So do you or does anyone else know what those bloodshot eyes do?

    They don't do anything. It was just a sign of anger, rage, intimindation, etc.. Many things use bloodshot red eyes as a symbol for that.

    That's what I thought at first when I saw that until he said something like this, " I cant stay, afterall the old me might come out again and we cant have that"

    My guess is that he has some sort of special jutsu, but I was just wondering if the manga unveiled anything is all. I have already seen him fight against ( spoilers) tsunade.

    What is the name of the move that Itachi uses when he traps you in a world of torture.

    -the use of black, red, and white is so cool.

    Tsunade had been trying to heal him, and she thought it wasn't working, but apparently it did. The tears didn't have anything to do with it (I think).

    alright, Tsukiyomi. Thanks, it's just hard to remember some things when 1. The move wasn't used often 2. I have a bad memory when it comes to things I read.

    Genin= lowest ninja rank
    Chuunin= Mainstream ninja rank
    Jounin= Highest ninja rank

    These ranks are assessed excluding ANBU (said to be the level above Jounin) and the Kages (The strongest in the village). There such things as "elite chuunin" (cross between Chuunin and Jounin) and "elite jounin" (a level assumed good enough to join ANBU). Each rank has a certain condition in which you can attain it:
    Genin= You MUST graduate the Ninja Academy of your village

    Chuunin= You MUST complete the Chuunin Exam

    Jounin= It is unspecified (at the moment) what kind of exam or test you have to do, but you must complete a set exam/task/test in order to become a jounin. You must master two elements (from a choice of Water, Lightning, Wind, Fire and Earth, which the five major countries are named after).

    Presumably, the higher your rank, the stronger you are AND people can pick up on that. There are some exceptions, such as Gaara, who's a Genin (according to the dub episodes... I have no idea where you are so I cannot tell you more), but obviously stronger than some Chuunin.

    The ranks are there so that the Kage (and some others) have a good idea about your strength.

    For example, with missions (From highest to lowest, S, A, B, C, D-rank):
    * Genins can only do D and C-rank missions;
    * Chuunins can only do D, C and B-rank missions;
    * Jounins can do all ranks

    The higher your rank, the 'better missions' (in terms of the rewards) you can do.

    That just about sums up all I can think about of the Ninja Ranks. Hope I helped!

    You are not quite correct. Any rank can do any missions. However, those are the missions that are generally given to each.

    The types of missions are as follows:

    D - Labor-type work
    C - Protect someone, deliver something valuable, etc., enemies usually consist of common thugs and such if any.
    B - Gather information, protection service, etc., enemies will consist of other ninja.
    A - Any of the above, assassinations, enemies consist of high-level threats (possibly listed in the Bingo Book).
    S - The most extreme missions that have enemies that could put the village in jeopardy. The enemies are of the the highest-level threat (such as: Orochimaru, Akatsuki, etc.).

    Outside of the fillers, Naruto's group has undertaken only one S-rank mission, which would be to rescue Gaara. *Highlight to read that*
