Chouji in just a span of two episodes quickly became one of my favourite characters, his flashback sequences weren't as emotional as Rock Lee but it is definitely up there. While Chouji's story isn't really anything out of the atypical "is made fun of for being fat, finds a friend who appreciates him for who he is", Chouji's character was really built up really well to that point where it made it even more emotional. Plus his final words "I made a lot of friends" really touched my heart. Yep, I thought I was going to break a tear. The fight itself was meh though.moreless

Chouji wins the battle!!!!

As the rest of team (Shikamaru, Naruto, Neji and Kiba) are following the other Sound ninjas, Shikamaru comments that out of all of them Chouji is the strongest and has confidence that he will win the fight. Back to the battle between Chouji and the Sound ninja Jiroubou, Jiroubou has just beaten off Choji by using the curse seal. Choji then decides that he must use the yellow pill. As Jiroubou attacks again Chouji uses his partial expansion juutsu and knocks Jiroubou back. He then goes to full expansion and blows himself up and lands on Jiroubou. Thinking that he finally beat him Chouji is surprized when Jiroubou lifts him up and throws him off. It seems that Jiroubou has gone to the second stage of the curse seal. Chouji decides that he must take the red pill, even though it most certainly mean death, he takes it to defeat Jiroubou and protect his friends.moreless

I like how Chouji got thin

Chouji get thin from eating the red food pill and kill the his fat enemy but damn why Chouji have goes and hurts himself for eating the red food pill and it would of kill him but here why do people like Chouji say they are losers it or feel like they are losers it makes me mad when people in this show make fun of the characters but Chouji is strong character and I think Chouji's jutsu gives him an edge in fighting like Naruto, Chouji had a bad life but he never give up on a foe so he good character.moreless

in this episode, chouji fights jiroubou, the first individual fight of the sasuke retrieval arc.

this episode was amazing. we now get some insight on chouji's past. through the sasuke retreival arc we learn more and more about the rookie 9 when they were younger. I never knew chouji was this strong, though the akimichi clan pills are really cheap. after seeing jiroubou's strength in curse seal level 2 mode i wonder if the others will be able to defeat the sound four, after all jiroubou was the weakest of the sound four. in the end though it's so sad chouji dies, or does he, something tells me he is not going to die because he is a main character of the show. the sasuke retrieval arc is going really well. can't wait for the rest of it.moreless
