Episode Summary

Overjoyed at his success, Naruto manages to enrage Gamabunta. With him not willing to accept that Naruto was able to summon him, Naruto challenges Gamabunta to accept him as his subordinate if he is able to stay on his back until sundown.

  • It's about time an actual frog was summoned.

    Naruto successfully summons a frog but accidentally summons the worst one; Gamabunta, the frog boss that even Jiraiya has difficulty controlling. After petty arguing between the two, Naruto makes it unofficial that if he stays on Gamabunta's back for the entire day, he becomes Naruto's master. Meanwhile in the sand country, the plans to crush Konoha are slowly materializing, and Baki explains to the three sand siblings the reason for their actions.

    Naruto's pointless bickering and gibberish should be comic relief instead of the meat of an episode. It often carries a serious tone and Naruto often feels like a piece that is just there to disrupt things. Well, in a way that is the purpose because what would Naruto be without, well, Naruto's weird personality! Episodes like these are starting to become more common but Naruto is starting to get more likable along the way. Feels like this episode was a step in the right direction.moreless

  • Naruto summons Gamabunta

    Naruto uses the chakra of Kyubi to summon Gamabunta in time to stop himself from falling to his death. Naruto lands on Gamabunta's head and starts to dance around angering Gamabunta. Gamabunta jumps out of the ravine and Naruto hangs on for dear life. Gamabunta tells Naruto that he doesn't think a small boy like him could summon him. Naruto challenges Gamabunta and tells him he will stay on Gamabunta's back until sunset no matter what. Gamabunta takes Naruto up on his challenge and proceeds to buck and jump around trying to knock Naruto off. As the sun is setting Naruto begins to tire....moreless

    I understand why Gamabunta thought that Naruto didn't summon him. Naruto is just a kid but the power that he has with the Demon fox's chakra is much. In this episode Naruto has to stay on Gamabunta's back until sunset to prove to him that Naruto did summon him and to earn Gamabunta's respect. It was a good bet but it ended not as Naruto expected but he did get what he wanted, respect. Naruto fell off of Gamabunta's back very close to sunset. Still Gamabunta gave him respect and took him to the hospital. Overall, the episode went well and I got to see how determined both Gamabunta and Naruto are when it came to the bet in this episode.moreless

    In this episode naruto summons the great toad Gamabota. And Naruto is having a hard time controling him because he thinks that Jiraiya summoned him in that rock place. Even tho naruto keeps telling him he summoned him and so they come up with a deal that naruto has to stay on chief toads back till sun down so baciclly this whole episode Naruto is on his back going in the air in the lake all around. when only couple minutes left Naruto is about to fall of when he use his shadowclone jutsu. After he get back on and jumps all around he get knocked out and is about to fall to his death when Chief Toad saves him with is tonuge. And then Jiraiya show Chief Toad the contract that Naruto signed and then the Chief says that not in a long time has someone tried to ride on his back. So then Chief take s Naruto to a Hospital and the episode ends.moreless
