While Jiraiya attempts to teach Naruto the Summoning Jutsu, while doing research as well, Dosu learns the hard way why Gaara is so dangerous. Meanwhile, Baki and Kabuto secretly meet and reveal a sinister plot against Konoha. When Hayate discovers this dark secret, he attempts to warn the Hokage.   • Naruto learns to summon...tadpoles?

    Dosu in order to prove himself to Orochimaru he was more than a test subject, decides to confront Gaara. He was easily killed while Baki is discussing their plans to destroy Konohoa with Kabuto. Hayate happens to come across the meeting but was caught by the two ninjas. Baki took care of him. Meanwhile Naruto is doing more training with Jiraiya and the lesson now is summoning techniques. Jiraiya had high hopes, but Naruto was only able to manage a tadpole...

    So training episodes are supposed to be really hot blooded that pumps you up and makes you suspenseful for any upcoming fights. Honestly though, there is just too much fooling around and comic relief to even really consider them training segmeants. I remember getting really pumped up watching Dragonball Z characters train their ass off, but here in Naruto it's like watching a class full of kids dicking around all the time. Not that fun at all!moreless

    Ebisu leaves Jiraiya and tells him that he puts his trust in Jiraiya training Naruto. Meanwhile Dosu wants to kill Gaara in the night so he can be the one to face Sasuke first. He finds Gaara sitting on the roof. Gaara says that "he" appears on a full moonlight night like tonight. A monstrous shadow appears and kills Dosu. Baki and Kabuto are watching. Baki is worried that since the Leaf Village now knows that Kabuto is an agent for the Sound Village along with being Orochimaru's right hand man, their plan may be in trouble. Meanwhile, Naruto's training continues....moreless

    it was a dark night with a full moon. The very attractive Gaara was sitting on a roof NOT sleeping, which we later find out why, when the evil Dosu Kinuta attacked! Dosu claims he wants to kill Gaara. Gaara does some shadow thingy and kills Dosu instead. Baki, Gaara and his sibling's sensei, and Kabuto, Orochimaru's boyfriend, I uh, mean 'henchman,' are watching all this from a distance. They confirm the plan Suna and Oto made to invade Konoha. Hayate, the 3rd exam proctor was eavesdropping on them and heard the whole thing. Baki gets ticked and finds Hayate and kills him. Jiraiya is now teaching Naruto to summon a toad. Naruto has to sign a scroll in blood. Then he summons a tadpole.moreless

    At the time when Garra defeats Dosu, I could see that Garra had something terrible, a monster like thing and well I was right but Dosu is dead. Kabuto and Baki plan the invasion of Konohagakure and it was obvious that Kabuto and Orochimaru had something to do with the invasion. Hayate also dies because Baki defeated him. Well there was no surprise there. Jiraiya tries to teach Naruto how to summon a Toad but Naruto keeps on summoning a tadpole and Jiraiya keeps not paying attention to him every time he tries to summon a toad because it doesn't work and Jiraiya was doing "research". Naruto does have a reason to be angry but atleast he has Jiraiya to teach him and not Ebisu. Overall, this episode was great and a lot of fighting which is good for some training.moreless

    Lol. Can Jiraiya get any more perverted? (Unfortunately yes when he goes traveling with Naruto to find Tsuande and he spends time with does women doing "research.") Anyways...it was a really good episode. Dosu is NO match for Gaara. The same goes for Hayate and Baki. (Poor Hayate. :( ) Naruto gets fed up with Jiraiya negleting his training and instead doing "research." So he eventually gets Jiraiya to continue on his with training. Jiriaya decides to teach him the summoning jutsu and has him sign the scroll of agreement between him and the toads. (Like father like son.) But poor Naruto can only summon a tadpole. Oh well. We all know he'll get the hang of summoning toads. (He is Nartuo Uzumaki after all. :P)moreless
