These past three episodes of Sasuke's past started off really strong, was still pretty good in the middle, and then just ended in an emo fest. Everything in this episode, especially the first half, are scenes we have already seen in the Chuunin exams except with a little more detail of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Another review already reinstated this and shares my exact same feelings for this episode; it is just more of the same thing that we have already seen with a lot of Sasuke's pouting and sad music. At least now that one of the best fights ever made is going to start in the next episode.

This is the last of the episodes that reflect upon Sasuke's childhood. And it's kinda like a repeat. If you've seen those two that happened back in the hotel when Sasuke faught Itachi, this is almost exactly the same. Only this time it goes into more detail about the Mangekyo Sharingan and how Itachi optained it. He killed his BFF of course! And Sauske remembers this little tidbit of info, so naturally, he tries to kill Naruto. Itachi also says that if Sasuke gains it, he will be the 3rd person to have it, Itachi included. So that means someone else must have it... *scary music*

Sasuke knocks Naruto into the water once again. He then has a flashback to the fateful night that changed his life forever. He is going back home after practicing late into the evening. On the way he thinks that he sees someone on top of a light pole, but when he looks again there is no one there. As he approaches the village he notices that all the lights are out. He then finds blood on the streets and runs home worried about his parents. He finds them with his brother Itachi standing over their bodies. Sasuke runs away only to run into Itachi again. Itachi allows him to live, but for a reason....
  • While Naruto is underwater, Sasuke has flashbacks once again on that fateful day when his clan was killed.

Ok so when sasuke gets back from the academy, he notices that it is odd seeing every light off and knows everyone cant be in bed yet, so he gets scared and when he was going to his area, he sees the ones that are dead and freaks out and runs to his house. But when he is, he feels like someone was watching him but when he looks up no one is up there. When he gets home, he is scared and nervous, so he goes looking and when he comes to his parents he sees them dead and freaks out and cries. That is when Itachi comes and then traps him in his jutsu and kinda torture him by showing what he did. Then Itachi tells sasuke the only way to have what he has, he has to kill his bestfriend, which Itachi confesses he killed his bestfriend just to have what he has right now. And so Itachi told sasuke why he is the only one left because there are three Uchihas that have it and thats Itachi, sasuke, and other i dont know lol so now when sasuke is fighting naruto he knows what to do and thats to kill naruto. I thought this was a sad episode because Itachi showed sasuke what he did and also when Itachi killed the whole clan, sasuke had no one..and he didn't want to talk to anyone..
