When Neji traces the thread from inside the dojo it splits off into three parts. One goes to the classroom upstairs and the other two head outside. But when Neji and Hinata trace the threads from outside only one is seen coming from the dojo.
When the wooden post is shown, after a kunai hits it, the leaf symbol surrounded by the circle, that is cut off on the sides, can be barely seen. But when another one of the kids throws a kunai at it, after Lee's advice, the post is shorter and wider then it orginally was and the leaf symbol, with the circle surrounding it, can be seen clearly seen without the circle surrounding it being cut off on the sides.
When Neji sees the post with his Byakugan, after tracing the thread attached to the explosive tag, there are two kunai in it. But when it is shown, after Neji tells Naruto that the post is the explosive device, when a kunai is thrown at it there are none in it.
When the Shadow Clone Naruto are collecting the papers the bird dropped watch when one lands in front of the screen, in front of the four people. If you look closely you can see that the background for this image is almost the exact same thing for episode 176 when Naruto was searching for his fake after the fake ate all Naruto's favorite ramen. Also, when all of them are in the air it is the same thing and when they are going across the roof tops.
Shikamaru calls the papers falling from the sky the blueprints in the previous episode. But Shizune tells Tsunade that they are copies of the introduction letter written to the head carpenter in this episode.
Right at the beginning, Tsunade is facing Naruto with the clip board, but then she is suddenly facing in such a way that Naruto can see what is on the clipboard.
After the explosion of light, Lady Kaio's carriage falls to the ground. When the parts are seen falling you can see the roof is in many pieces, but when the carriage is seen on the ground, the roof is still intact.
When the creature disappears, after the contract is destroyed, the base of the castle is not there. But when Naruto, Kiba, and Hinata are talking about Kouza wanting the creature to be released, they are standing by the base of it.
Before Naruto moves, the man in the painting is near the edge of the boarded up window. But when Naruto moves, it moves over towards the middle of it.
When Naruto moved and the eyes of the painting followed him, the eyes were looking to the left. But when Naruto, Kiba, and Hinata are shown, Naruto is standing directly in front of the picture.
When Naruto, Hinata, and Kiba enter the castle there is only one light on and it is on the left side. When they set their stuff down on the right side the lights are on inside the room on that side. When they enter the room Akamaru ran in the lights on the other side are off again.
When the real Gai in disguise comes back to fight "Lee", the metal plate on his headband isn't there.
The three ninja that were standing behind Chouji, Hinata, Yurinjou when they first showed up, are standing to the far right when everyone is shown while Haruna is crying.
When Naruto gets cut from the blasts some of his blood falls onto Princess Haruna's face. When they move for cover the blood is gone.
Naruto's face is cut by one of the blasts from the third evil ninja's lense. When he stands to face the ninja the cut is gone.
When Tsunade was selecting the pairs for this mission, there were no icons of Ino, Shino, nor Kiba.
In the edited version of the English dub, during the preview of the next episode "Open for Business! The Leaf Moving Service", the word business is misspelled as "Buisiness".
The title card in the edited version of the English dub misspelled the title of this episode to be "A Legend of the Hidden Leaf: The Onbaa!" instead of "A Legend from the Hidden Leaf: The Onbaa!". However, Naruto still said the title correctly when he shouted it out.
Onbu's growth changes from scene to scene. Sometimes he's bigger and sometimes he's smaller.
Once again, when Naruto and Sumaru were arguing about becoming the leader of their villages, they kept referring to them being the same thing, by using the word "too". The should have said "I will become a kage too", or just "I will become Hokage/Hoshikage".
