The best fight since Rock Lee vs. Gaara

While I think many people overrate this fight--some people say it is the best fight in all of Naruto, that is a slap in the face to Rock Lee vs. Gaara--it is still what it is; a strategical battle that will catch you in awe. Every move is used with purpose that it makes you look out for everything that is occurring, making sure you don't miss anything that will prove vital the next move. All of Shikamaru's little moves ultimately built up to forcing Temari into the exact location that he wanted her in while not making it suspicious. No flying fists, martial arts, or cool ninja techniques; just fundamental strategizing. The best part is, no melodramatic or overly emo pasts.moreless

Shikamaru's match is now here. He has to fight Temari, another girl. Shikamaru doesn't act very motivated until Temari charges at him and he dodges her attack. Shikamaru decides he'd better fight because he doesn't want to lose to a girl. Temari uses her wind attack jutsu with her fan. Shikamaru uses the trees to dodge her wind attacks and tries his Shadow Possession jutsu on her. She jumps back out of the way of his shadow and measures his limit on how far he can stretch it. She uses her wind attack once more as Shikamaru tries to formulate a plan of attack...moreless

Shikamaru VS Temari.

Shikamaru fights Temari in this episode. This is actually one of my favorite episode because I see Shikamaru fight in this episode. He is also one of my favorite characters. It is learned in this episode that Shikamaru is a genius but he finds most things troublesome which is why he doesn't get well grades. Although he is a genius, Shikamaru lost. He could have defeated Temari. Even Temari knew that but he gave up because he didn't have much chakra left. He had planed what to do after but he didn't have enough chakra to do it. He only had a few more seconds of chakra left to control Temari with his shadow possession. Overall this episode was informative, it teaches some things about Shikamaru.moreless

- Temari: I remember that he's a Ninja who uses shadows. Most of the time, all ninjas use shadows. The word "nin" means stealth and most ninjas would only move at night, when shadows were everywhere. Ninjas wore black "gi"s and carried black metal swords, shurikens, nunchakus and kunai knives that were hard to see in pitch black.
