    • Nash: But there's no reason for you to married right now.
Cassidy: Why? Because you think I can't handle going to school and being married at the same time?
Nash: No, no, no, no, Cassidy. What I'm saying is, what is the compelling reason for you to get married now?
Cassidy: My reasons are my feelings. Love, desire for commitment commitment.
Nash: And a piece of paper does all those things, huh? (Cassidy gives him a look) Alright, alright, I'm sorry. I'm not passing judgment on your relationship, I'm just trying to give you the benefit of my experience. Cassidy, you're just now starting college, in four years you're going to be in a completely different space than you are now.
Cassidy: And you think that I'll have outgrown Evan?
      Nash: Maybe, maybe not.
      Cassidy: Daddy--
Nash: Let's just say you've have.
Cassidy: Daddy, maybe what was right for you isn't right for me.
Nash: Baby, I think that you are very responsible but let's not forget that I have been down this road before. I just want you to take advantage of my experience.
Cassidy: Are you saying that you wish you hadn't married mom?
Nash: No, I'm not saying that. I'm just thinking that it might've had a better chance of working if we hadn't rushed into when we did.
Cassidy: You know what, Dad? I just want you to admit it, because you've never approved of this relationship and you can't stand the thought of us being married.
Nash: Cassidy, that is not true. I am just suggesting that you wait.
Cassidy: Why? So you can get used to it?
      Nash: No. So you can.
Cassidy: Listen, whether I marry Evan tomorrow or the next day, or in a week, or in a month, or in a year, I'm gonna do it, dad. That's it.
