  • better than last week, but still...

Ok, so the home theme really got on my nerves. It was adorable when the contestants got reuinted with their loved ones, but I didn't like the interviews with the family between performances. The other thing I didn't like was that the second song the contestants sang was really short and only their mentors were able to comment on it. Maybe if they didn't have the family interview they would have had the time for the commentary from the judges. Anyways, to the contestants. Most of them did better, some worse. I love Bon Jovi so when Gabe said he was singing his song, I was nervous. I thought Gabe killed it...what can I say? I'm not a Gabe fan. Anyways, Tommy sang one of my favorite Rascal Flatts songs and I thought he did well. The lady that sang "This One's for the Girls" did very well and I thought she was the best. Overall, I didn't like the setup but there was still great talent.moreless

    • John Rich: (to Laura and Sophie) You guys come off like high school girls at a high school talent show, which is not a good thing on this show.

    • John Rich: Shawn, you just proved my point that I just made literally ten seconds ago. It's the most aggrivating thing in the world to see you nail one and not nail the other back to back like that.

    • John Rich: (to Tommy) You're the kind of guy I'll go out with and have a beer any time and if that was the case, we'd call it show friends, this is called show business.

    • John Rich: I'm concerned for Coffey, you know why? I think he got confused. First of all, a cowboy hat don't make you country. You can't fake your way through country music. Every song up to now has been pop. I think you got confused when you came to the audition. There's a show called American Idol that makes pop stars, I say you go to that show.
