Velvet (Lori Martin) has her hands full in this installment, as her friend John (Rickey Kelman) reveals a negative side to his personality when taunted for his riding skills by the pesky, maladjusted Alvie (Richard Correll). A horse race is proposed, the humiliated John blames Velvet and Mi (Jimmy McCallion) for his not yet being a fine rider, and the unpleasant Alvie goads the other young people into anger and a desire for revenge. While most of the series was filmed on a sound stage, there are several sequences outdoors this time around, with doubles running and jumping their horses to contribute some suspense to the proceedings. Velvet's horse, King, emerges in the winning spot - and both Velvet and Mi are appropriately pleased at the fadeout.moreless
